There’s something special about hitting the open road, a journey of self-discovery that reminds us why we are on this earth and gives us new insight on life, liberty and searching for adventure and enlightenment. And that’s exactly what our adventurous man, Matt, did.
Matt had always dreamed of taking a road trip, and now that he is Debt Free, He knew it was time.
The car had been well taken care of and was in great condition, which gave him the confidence to embark on his cross-country journey – one trip at a time.
The First trip was Mount Rushmore, where he left his job on a week paid vacation and set out on his adventure. He packed light, knowing that he would be spending most of his time in the car. He had a general route in mind, but he wanted to let the road guide him.

The first trip was Mount Rushmore, where he spent the day driving 6 hours from Colorado to South Dakota enduring traffic and a long scenic drive until he reached his KOA campsite cabin for the night. Day Two, He started the morning early at 8:00 am, checking out of the cabin and driving 10 minutes to the park where he spent the entire morning -to-afternoon going through the visitor center, sculptors studio, and hiking that presidential trail in front of Mount Rushmore.
